Born into a middle-class family, I was fortunate to arrive on the shores of the Sultanate of Oman, a nation that has given me life, growth, and prosperity over the past 35 years.

From our modest beginnings as a small drilling subcontractor for power overhead lines, ZPTE has grown over the last two decades into a trusted EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor. Today, we proudly execute complex infrastructure projects, including power plants, transmission lines, and substations ranging from 33kV up to 400kV.

At the core of this journey is one undeniable truth - our people. Their dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment have been the driving force behind every milestone we’ve achieved. ZPTE has played a significant role in the development of Oman’s power infrastructure, serving both government and private sectors across utilities and Oil & Gas. Our reputation has been built on professionalism, on-time delivery, and a steadfast commitment to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality, In-Country Value (ICV), and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

One of our proudest achievements is our investment in Omanization, resulting in a high number of Omani nationals holding key leadership positions within the company. Beyond employment, we have also supported and developed local manufacturers of electrical equipment, enabling them to expand into international markets.

What we have never compromised on are our values. And not a single project has ever been delayed ,an achievement that reflects the strength of the culture we’ve built together.

Looking ahead, ZPTE stands on a solid foundation in Oman, with ambitions to become a regional leader over the next decade. We remain focused on participating in major EPC contracts, particularly in the growing fields of renewable energy and green hydrogen, in full alignment with Oman Vision 2040.

Despite the highly competitive nature of the EPC sector in Oman, ZPTE continues to lead with a market share exceeding 40%. Our success stems from a combination of technical excellence, strong financial capacity, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale, high-impact projects.

Currently, we are working to localize the manufacturing of steel poles and towers for transmission and distribution systems. Simultaneously, we are collaborating with international suppliers to bring smart grid technologies to Oman ,supporting our clients in enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and integrity of their power systems.

Despite an increasingly competitive market landscape, ZPTE successfully secured five major power transmission projects during the year, including our first award from GCCIA, an important milestone that will pave the way for expanding our portfolio beyond national borders. This accomplishment underscores the confidence our clients place in our capabilities and highlights the professionalism and technical competence consistently demonstrated by our teams.

Our people remain at the core of our success. ZPTE continues to prioritize staff retention and professional development through structured career-growth initiatives, comprehensive training programs, and a supportive work environment designed to foster long-term engagement and excellence.

To further enhance our organizational strength and external interface, ZPTE has established two new departments: the Legal Department and the Projects External Affairs Department. These additions play a critical role in ensuring robust compliance, strengthening governance, and enriching stakeholder engagement across all areas of our business. In alignment with our commitment to support clients in enhancing asset integrity and advancing toward smart grid solutions, the company has introduced new technologies and products, including load break switch, steel poles and an online power line monitoring system. These additions reinforce our role as a trusted partner in delivering innovative and reliable solutions.

Looking ahead, ZPTE is implementing a strategic plan focused on diversifying our business portfolio to ensure resilience and long-term continuity. This direction positions us to expand into new sectors while sustaining strong performance in our core operations. We are also advancing our digital transformation journey by adopting new technologies and implementing smarter, more efficient working methods across the organization.
